Internship and Project Work Opportunities at U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO
The U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), formerly known as ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), is pleased to announce internship and project work opportunities for students as part of the holistic education concept of NEP-2020. This initiative aims to provide students with practical exposure to real-world projects and enhance their academic learning.
Internship Opportunity
Overview
URSC offers internship opportunities for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD students. The internships are designed to provide students with hands-on experience in various projects related to space research and satellite technology.
Key Details
- Duration: Minimum of 15 days and a maximum of 45 days
- Eligibility:Must be a citizen of India
- Pursuing UG/PG/PhD from a recognized university/institution (India/Abroad)
- Students must be enrolled in a regular on-campus program
- Candidates who have completed their UG/PG and are seeking internship opportunities within 6 months of completion are also eligible
- Stipend: No stipend, transport, or canteen facilities will be provided
- Application Period: Internships are available for the period of January - March 2025
Guidelines for Application
- Internship allotment will be based on the availability of projects and the suitability of the student’s course.
- The selection process is on a first-come, first-served basis, and slots are limited.
- Students from the 5th semester or 3rd year onwards are eligible to apply.
Required Documents
When applying for the internship, candidates need to upload the following documents:
- Marksheets of all previous semesters
- Resume
- A request/permission letter from the Principal/HOD for carrying out the internship at URSC, mentioning the duration of the internship. The letter should be duly signed and sealed by the college authority.

Student Project Trainee Scheme
In addition to internships, URSC also provides opportunities for students to carry out their final year or semester project work.
Eligibility Criteria for Project Work
The following table outlines the degree eligibility criteria and duration for project work at URSC:

- Project work will be allotted based on the availability of projects and facilities, and the suitability of the student’s course to the work carried out at URSC.
- Similar to the internship process, the allotment of project work is also on a first-come, first-served basis, and the number of available slots is limited.
- No financial assistance, stipends, or accommodation facilities will be provided to project trainees.
